ONE-ON-ONE COACHING PARTNERSHIP - HIGHLY PERSONALIZED

Every coaching partnership I create is different.

I do not coach from a book, a course, a script, a template, a coaching certificate program or method.

I coach YOU. If you only want one conversation — that’s what we’ll have. If you want more support and more transformation, we could work together for a month, or twelve.

My coaching is grounded in diverse, real-life experiences. It comes from decades of self-study and self-exploration, and from being coached by some of the greatest life coaches, teachers, musicians, therapists, and mentors on the planet. During our time together, I will be doing my own deep coaching with my life coach, my performance psychology coach, and my other coaches and mentors.

 

WHAT your coaching LOOKS LIKE

We might have 1 conversation or we might have many.

We might speak for 1 hour or every week for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months.

Every client is different so every time commitment and coaching agreement is different.

WHAT You “get” out our coaching

Your investment in coaching is an investment in yourself.

My coaching fee is 100% non-refundable and will require an up-front commitment of money. This is on purpose and part of the coaching.  

We use no written contracts because our word is more powerful than any document we could create.


The "State of the Union" Document

In order to launch our partnership in the most powerful way, we begin by doing a deep dive into who you are and where you are.

I have you fill out a document I created called the “State of the Union.” It is our baseline, launch pad, mirror, bliss station, and dream journal. We use it and refer to it throughout our time together.  

In it, you zero in on your deepest desires, your impossible goals, the obstacles that you know are in your way. We begin the process of identifying what makes you whole, energized, alive. We identify your unique gifts and strengths. The State of the Union doc challenges you to reach out to your friends and family and ask them some heart-opening, eye-opening questions about who you are in their world and how you show up.

 

Four 60-MINUTE CALLS PER MONTH

We meet via Zoom each week of the month to do deep coaching.

This is where the real work of change happens, through our conversations and explorations.

You draw on your courage, vulnerability, and willingness to explore, play, and get uncomfortable. I ask you the questions no one dares ask you.

I challenge you to consider new ways of thinking and being. I invite you to take action in the week ahead. I encourage you to slow down, to say no, to listen to your inner wisdom. I might use silence and guided meditations. We will do role-plays and other improvised games. Anything is possible in the service of your dreams, your change.

These video calls can be recorded in audio and video format to listen to and watch again and for further learning and reflection. I highly recommend this.

 

SELF-COACHING WEEKLY WRITING

Each week (four times per month) you write a page (or more) of reflections and questions to yourself that we call “self coaching.” It is due to me by Sunday at noon.

We use this piece of self inquiry in many ways: to highlight your insights and wins and how you created them; to focus on the gap between what you want and where you are; to identify who you are being and how you are showing up in your world; to identify your “impossible” goals and your competing commitments.

You share this document with me and we use it for further coaching between our weekly calls. I respond to your questions and insights. You read those and respond back. Back and forth the thread goes throughout the week until our next call.

The nature of the self coaching document morphs over time.

At first, we use a format that asks specific questions. Eventually, you go free-style and write me in any way that suits where you are in your journey. A beautiful part of our coaching partnership is watching your self-coaching unfold week by week in these living documents and extended conversations.

Many clients feel this back and forth between us in self-coaching is one of the most impactful aspects of their coaching. The weekly discipline of reflecting and writing to themselves is an absolute game-changer.

 

Self-Reliance WeekS

Some months includes a scheduled “self-reliance” week where you connect with your resourcefulness.

This is not a “week off.”

If anything, it is a time to challenge yourself even more boldly, make bigger asks, and put all that you are learning to the test without the structure of our weekly call.  

You will still complete a self-coaching document during the self-reliance week.

 

Self-Care Time -- slowing down to speed up

We take a break at the end of December to just after the New Year and usually in the summer for family and adventure time.

It’s important for us to include a period of rest, slowing down, and disconnecting from the world in order to reconnect more genuinely and authentically.

This could look like taking time with your family during the holidays. It could look like traveling to explore a new place you’ve always dreamed of going. We work out the details of this downtime once we begin our partnership.

 

Private online collaboration via Basecamp

You and I will have our own private Basecamp portal accessible anytime, anywhere on the web, iOS, Android, Mac, or PC.

Basecamp is a real-time communication tool that helps us stay on the same page, every day.

We’ll use it for everything: chatting, to-do lists, calendaring, file-sharing, free-form writing, visioning, etc.

Basecamp gives our partnership a powerful way to keep all our conversations and resources in one place. It is how we’ll keep track of priorities, actions, and insights. Most important, it keeps us out of our email inboxes.

 

Unlimited access -- You need me, I’m there

Our coaching partnership means we are partners, a team, all for one and one for all.

You’ll have access to my private cell phone number and my private email address. I am here for you when you need me. We will schedule additional high-beam coaching calls whenever you need them.

Hiring me as your coach isn’t just for our 60-minute calls – it’s for your life. Truly.

 

ACCESS TO MY “FOUNDATIONAL” LIBRARY

Our partnership gives you access to ALL my personal resources. I call these my “Foundational Docs" -- the books, interviews, articles, reading notes, lectures, podcasts, interviews and resources that I’ve used in my own journey to self-mastery and change since I began working with my first coach in 2010.

When we begin our work together, you will receive a starter kit of my Foundational Docs. And I will ask for yours.

 

YOUR CURATED RESOURCES LIST -- BOOKS, PODCASTS, VIDEOS, AUDIOS

In our coaching, you grade your own papers -- just like in life. No more teachers “grading” or ranking you.

You grade yourself on your own effort. You create and generate your own energy and desire for mastery.

That being said, every week, I recommend books, podcasts, lectures, videos, and activities to explore as part of our work together.

Consider these your highly curated “extra credit” or supplementary resources.

I only recommend things I’ve used and benefitted from.

Part of why you hire me is to give you an edge. The resources I recommend are part of that edge. I save you the time and money of reading every personal development book out there. I only recommend the best of the best.
